The Abdulkabir Aliu Foundation (AAF) is committed to creating opportunities for indigent students to pursue their academic dreams and build brighter futures. Our flagship scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to students who demonstrate academic potential but face financial constraints.

The scholarship program commenced in 2014, and currently, the foundation is supporting undergraduates, postgraduates, and Ph.D. scholars studying in 17 federal universities in Nigeria. Undergraduate Scholarships

Open to students in 17 qualifying Federal Universities.

Orphan and Vulnerable Student Scholarships

Focused on students at the University of Maiduguri.

Scholarships for Students of Ede Origin

Includes both undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

Student must attempt computer-based test which consists of multiple-choice questions from Mathematics, English and General Knowledge. Based on CBT result, student who pass will qualify for the scholarship program.
Students who are already on AAF scholarship program have to maintain their CGPA 3.5 out 5, to qualify for next year scholarship.
The student who are enrolled in post-graduate program in any federal university, must have obtained a minimum of 3.5 CGPA out 5, in their undergraduate degree program.
The students who are enrolled in PhD program in any federal university in Nigeria are eligible to apply for scholarship, subject to satisfactory performance in research and course work, duly verified by the supervisor and the university authorities.

The Abdulkabir Aliu Foundation scholarship program was established by Alhaji (Engr.) Abdulkabir Aliu, CEO of Matrix Energy Group, to empower students in Nigerian Federal Universities. Starting in 2014 with 70 students across six universities, it now supports applicants from 13 Federal Universities nationwide.

Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply through the provided online portal. Shortlisted applicants may need to take an aptitude test at a designated venue.
