AAF and National Eye Centre, Kaduna, Partner to Bring Free Eye Care to Nigeria’s Underserved Communities

The Abdulkabir Aliu Foundation (AAF) and the National Eye Centre (NEC) Kaduna have formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at improving access to quality eye care services, particularly for underserved communities in Nigeria.

The primary objective of this partnership is to organize free medical camps in remotely located communities which have little or no eye related healthcare facilities. This marks a significant step towards our mission of preventing avoidable blindness and improving eye care for all communities facing financial difficulties.

The AAF-National Eye Care Program entails medical consultations, provision of medicines and visual aids, necessary surgical interventions, post-surgery care & treatment. The program also encompasses the advocacy and community mobilization sessions to educate people to use preventive measures to keep their eyes healthy.
